One Year where?
19 June
After our extra long weekend in Canberra, on my second day back at work I spent until lunch time looking forward to the Tuesday Sub of the day... Until I realised it was Thursday (my roots might say otherwise but I'm still a blonde!). At least Friday was only a day away, and my sisters last weekend in Sydney was ahead so on Friday night we headed to Luna Park for the cheap night. That's the third time in the last two months for me, for those counting at home, so I claimed my mothers role of sitting in the bar with bags and loose items while Debra and Kev ran rampant screaming on the rides.
Saturday I ventured out with Debra to finally walk over the Harbour Bridge - a year on Friday since I moved to Sydney and I still hadn't managed to find the time for it. The views were spectacular.
After a bit of shopping at the markets we headed home to get ready for a night of rugby at the Porterhouse (Irish bar) - starting with NZ vs. Ireland. Us girls arrived late but were representing in black and Debra was cheering enough for NZ while the Irish around watched their team lose. Sunday started early with Debra leaving for NZ, in time for her first day at her new job on Monday - watershed moment before she becomes one of them - Lawyers! |
